HIV and AIDS and DISABILITY

HIV and AIDS and DISABILITY

My name is Harry Banda, and I represent Hope Community-Based Organisation (HCBO), a charity based in Malawi, Africa. Hope Community-Based Organisation is dedicated to supporting vulnerable people living with HIV and AIDS. We provide nutritious food that helps strengthen their immune systems and improve their overall health. In addition, we educate them on the importance of taking their medication daily and encourage them to eat foods rich in essential nutrients. However, we face significant financial challenges and are kindly seeking support to continue our work.

During a visit to Magomondo Village, we spoke with women living with HIV and AIDS who shared their personal stories about the challenges they face. Living with HIV has made life very difficult for them, making it hard to work and support themselves. They struggle to afford a well-balanced diet, which is essential for someone in their condition.
